Arielle Fears

Arielle Fears is a Certified Professional Midwife living in Nashville, TN, and serving as midwife to families of all structures, creeds, and backgrounds within an hour radius of her home. Arielle is thrilled to practice community midwifery with the rest of the team at Roots after completing many of the required clinical hours as a student with Gaylea and Frances, as well as six other midwives spread out across Middle TN and East TN.

Arielle came to out-of-hospital midwifery with the desire to provide another needed option for individualized, holistic, and safe perinatal care to growing families. This need was witnessed over and over as a doula and childbirth educator over the past decade. Arielle continues to connect families and doulas at Music City Doulas, their doula agency. Now as a midwife, they strive to maintain a practice that both honors individual and family sovereignty and utilizes evidence based care.

Outside of midwifery, Arielle keeps a large vegetable, medicinal herb, and flower garden, and a little flock of chickens. She spends her drives to clients listening to nonfiction audiobooks, and is interested in public health, social theory, and history. They prep charts the night before appointments with snuggly dog and cat overseers in their lap, and knit sweaters when they have time. She lives with her partner of 15 years, and two beautiful children.
